Brazil, Reis Family
Nestled in the enchanting landscape of Southern Minas, the captivating history of Bela Vista Farm dates back an impressive 110 years, standing as a testament to time-honoured traditions and unwavering dedication. Since its inception, the illustrious Lima Reis family has overseen this flourishing estate, and today, they are proudly represented by siblings Isabela and Toni, who have seamlessly woven the past and present into a tapestry of excellence.
Located in the picturesque city of Nepomuceno, Bela Vista enjoys a fortunate climate and an ideal altitude of approximately 1,050 meters above sea level, making it a sanctuary for cultivating exceptional coffee. The farm nurtures a wide selection of coffee varieties, including Yellow Bourbon, Yellow Catuaí, Topaz, Rubi, Arara, and Yellow Catucaí.
This lot was processed using an anaerobic natural method. The cherries were spread on concrete patios to dry for seven days, then kept in an anaerobic environment for 48 hours to enhance the coffee’s depth of flavour. Subsequently, the coffee was rested in static boxes for 15 days before being dried in a mechanical drier to achieve the desired moisture content of 10-12%.
This information was kindly provided by our import partners, Langdon Coffee Merchants. We thank them for helping us share the Reis family's story.
