Jose Martinez was born and raised on a coffee farm, but at 16 decided to become a bus driver. This saw him travel Colombia extensively for a decade, however he decided to return home for a more stable life, and bought his father’s coffee farm.

Today, he is a passionate, innovative and motivated producer, dedicated to improving the quality of the coffee he produces. He’s dedicated to keeping his trees healthy and well pruned, and has carefully honed his fermentation process to ensure the correct fermentation length for each coffee he produces.

Over the years, Jose has been able to improve his infrastructure and extend his drying patios. Specialty Coffee has enabled Jose to really transform his life, and he takes a lot of care and pride with each step of the process.
